We believe that supporting veterans in agriculture requires a holistic approach that takes into account the unique challenges and opportunities that veterans face. Our approach is built on the principles of mentorship, community, and education, and we work closely with veterans to help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in farming. Through one-on-one coaching and mentoring, we provide veterans with the guidance and support they need to navigate the complexities of starting an agricultural enterprise. We also offer a range of educational and networking opportunities, such as beekeeping training and access to land and funding, that help veterans achieve their agricultural goals. By taking a comprehensive approach to supporting veterans in agriculture, we can help them build meaningful careers while also strengthening our local food systems.

Since our founding, we have made significant progress in supporting veterans in agriculture and strengthening our local food systems. We have helped numerous veterans start successful agricultural enterprises, and we have created a vibrant community of veterans and industry professionals who are committed to sustainable agriculture. 

Looking to the future, our goals are to develop statewide awareness and participation of veterans and their family members in FVC-WA, connect veterans and their family members with resources in agriculture, advocate for statewide resources and policies that affect, empower and/ or benefit veterans and their families in agriculture and cultivate an organization that is capable of delivering on the FVC-WA mission.
